Description
The artwork ‘Liefde/λιφντε – variation nr 2’ belongs to the series of five pieces with title ‘Liefde/λιφντε’.
It is framed in a wooden frame with anti-reflective (museum) glass; frame size 40 x 40 x 3 cm.
Description: Hand-made paper created of Greek language learning books meant for Greek or half-Greek children living abroad. Here and there fragments of letters or words remain visible on the created paper. The print is made with the technique of linoleum engraving. The design ‘λιφντε’ (liefde) is the Dutch word for ‘love’ designed with Greek characters.
The paper and the lino printing work was done by hand in the atelier.
Four of the ‘Liefde/λιφντε’ variations were exhibited in the exhibition PAPER in Athens in May 2023.
